I arrived home safely, on monday at 11am Belgian time (9pm in NZ). It was so weird arriving home, everything looked different, the sun stays up til 10pm and it smells like pollution. I can’t speak English anymore but I still throw some English words in when I speak Dutch, especially ‘like’ is one that shows up every other sentence. I’ve been unpacking some of my stuff but it’s hard because I just realise how much I miss you all and it just makes it more real that I’m not gonna return soon. Thank you all for making this the most awesome year of my life, without you it would have never been the same. New Zealand is a beautiful and laid back country and all that, but having great friends like you is the most important thing that has made my year so succesful. Especially the parties I’ll miss a lot haha (but I can buy alcohol here now, IN YOUR FACE!). I love you and I’ll always remember you, and I hope we’ll stay in touch
